Our Story

A Simple Idea with a Big Purpose

In the heart of Canada, two entrepreneurs—Jeremy and Michael—had a vision: to create a newsletter that doesn’t just track deals, but builds community. A newsletter that highlights homegrown businesses, connects Canadians with great local finds, and celebrates the stories behind the brands we know and love.

Born and raised in Canada, Jeremy and Mike know the importance of shopping local and supporting businesses that keep our economy strong. Their journey in business started long before this newsletter. As the founders of Robin Hood Technology Inc., they’ve helped shape the online presence of Canadian companies like Pharmasave, Home Hardware & Hardbite Chips. They’ve also worked alongside creators and innovators when their office was in the Milton Education Village. Mike understands the retail landscape firsthand—he still runs AllStarCollectors.com, an online destination for collectors.

More Than Just Savings—It’s About Community

But for them, this newsletter is about more than just deals and discounts—it’s about celebrating Canadian grit, craftsmanship, and the spirit of giving back. Over the years, they’ve traveled across nine provinces (Newfoundland, we’re coming for you!) and seen firsthand how local businesses adapt, overcome challenges, and thrive. Every region has its own flavour, and they want to bring those stories to Canadians from coast to coast.

This newsletter is by Canadians, for Canadians. Every edition includes stories of businesses, some that started in garages and grew into household names, highlighting the resilience that makes Canadian entrepreneurship special. It’s about helping businesses get the visibility they deserve while fostering a deeper sense of connection among Canadians.

A Call to Action for Canadians

Jeremy and Mike know that when Canadians shop local, everyone wins. Whether it’s highlighting a small-town bakery, giving a shoutout to a Toronto startup, or sharing insights on how to support Canadian entrepreneurs, this newsletter is about making an impact.

More than just a project, it’s a movement—one that encourages Canadians to take pride in their homegrown businesses and support one another in meaningful ways. With each issue, Jeremy and Mike are helping to build something bigger: a stronger, more connected community, one good deal at a time.
